The Mirage

Since it was my first trip to the city, I asked for recommendations on Vegas hotels. When Kathryn, my closest Vegas expert, said The Mirage was her favorite, I immediately booked it. The hotel was fabulous!
It is a great location right on the strip. There is a volcano out front of the hotel. On our last day, I learned that the volcano actually erupts nightly. We left in the afternoon, so I missed getting to see the show. The hotel has an aquariam that stretches through the hotel lobby.
An atrium, complete with a waterfall, is in the center of the main level.
The main level has a spa, shopping, a huge casino, and a number of restaurants and clubs.
One of the shows playing at our hotel is Cirque du Soleil's LOVE, a tribute to the Beatles. The lounge, Revolution, was inspired by The Beatles' music. We checked it out during the day. I took the picture from the wrong side, so the letters will appear backwards to you.
The other show playing at the hotel is Terry Fator, the ventriliquist who won America's Got Talent. My mom really wanted us to go see this show because she is a fan and watched him on the tv show!
Steven visited the pool on the last day. I chose not to go because let's face it, I'm pretty tan already and any additional time laying out would just be a waste! Haha! The pool is huge with a waterfall and a bridge crossing it.
