Hiking in Bryce

After lunch, it was still cold and cloudy outside. I decided to stay at the General Store and use the computer while Steven went exploring on his own. He went hiking for 2 hours and took some cool pictures. It rained twice while he was out, but each time it only lasted for a few minutes.

When he came back I was feeling more energized and we went on a hike together for a few miles.

My goal was to hug a hoodoo before we left...accomplished. FYI..hoodoos are these tall rock columns.

I made Steven hug one too!

The view from down in the canyon was much more interesting than simply looking at it from the viewpoints above.

On our way back to the car, we saw this rainbow when the rain had finally stopped for the day!
