Once we made it to the other side of the town our tour guide gave us a few minutes to visit the shops geared toward tourists. The vendors are known for the “genuine fake watches” they sell, as the signs above the stores boast!
There was a camel sitting near the shops and for one euro each we could hop on the camel for a picture.
We decided, why not? It’s no likely that we’ll ever have the chance to sit on a camel so we might as well do it!
We had to laugh when our tour guide told us later that there aren’t camels in Turkey, the one in Ephesus is the only one he’s ever seen! Ha ha, oh well, a camel is a camel, even if it is out of place.
